GuoFang Brush has been established since1945 in Taipei (Taiwan) old town. This unique shop is passionate about creating beautiful brushes and produces mostly natural fiber products such as toothbrushes made with bamboo & horse mane or handheld brushes with pig hair.
We’ve selected a few of our favourites and showcase it in our concept store.
Hand made woven palm tree skin fibers hard mounting round brushes used for traditional wet-mounting Chinese or Japanese painting and calligraphy for applying backing paper on the back of a sumi or calligraphy artwork which you prepare in a wet mounting process. This type of specialty brush is used to remove creases and bubbles between the two sheets of rice paper.
